Job summary

Portfolio payroll are currently working with an accountancy practice based in the Lancaster area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their team on a full time basis.

Key responsibilities:

* Inputting data and timesheets on to our payroll system
* Raising invoices to agencies/end clients for payment
* Answering telephone calls and emails and dealing with queries and complaints
* Contacting new employees to confirm the payroll process and answer queries
* Reporting to payroll team leader and payroll manager
* Chasing agencies, end clients and employees for documents
* Processing expenses
* Liaising with agencies
* Liaising with HMRC


* GCSE Maths and English to grade C and above
* Attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to demonstrate patience in demanding circumstances
* Excellent time keeping and management ability with the ability to prioritise workload to ensure all tasks are carried out on a daily basis and all deadlines are met
* IT Skills with competent use of word and excel
* Customer focused


* Undertaking CIPP training or other payroll qualifications
