Our client is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a 12 month FTC basis;
Duties include;
* Checking payroll data & expenses for employees
* Processing high volume payroll data in a team
* Respond to payroll queries both written and verbally
* Manual calculation of SSP & SMP for employees
* Creating payment files using Excel
* Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE queries
* Thorough reconciliation of various payroll reports to ensure overall accuracy
* Processing starters and leavers
* Checking and amending data ahead of deadlines
* Any other payroll administration duties
You will have;
* Previous experience within a payroll department
* Great attention to detail and accuracy of work
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with highly developed customer facing skills
* Ability to work under pressure to deadlines using own initiative
* Strong computer skills including Excel
