We are currently working with firm of Chartered Accountants who are seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant Manager to join their payroll department and assist with the processing of multiple client payrolls, as well as supporting the Payroll Manager in supervising the team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

* Deputise for the Payroll Manager.
* Act as a technical lead and escalation point.
* Processing a multi-frequency payroll for various sized clients from start to finish.
* End of year compliance including P35’s, P60’s.
* Auto enrolment input processing.
* SMP/SSP, salary sacrifice.
* Supervising and assisting junior team members.

This is an excellent role perfect for someone who is keen to progress their payroll career within practice. This role will be based in St Albans 3 days a week, with flexibility to work from home for the remaining days.

Successful candidates will have experience in a similar role, processing clients payroll as well as having a senior/supervisory role. Experience of using IRIS/Star is highly desirable.
