Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Compliance Officer to join their busy team

Duties include:

* Providing technical payroll expertise to the payroll team and wider teams
* Responsible for producing and completing all payroll validation checks each month, to ensure the accurate delivery of the monthly payroll
* Processing the high-volume monthly payroll in line with the current process, within the current time frames and in keeping with the company’s policies and procedures
* Working closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure all aspects of the end-to-end payroll process are complete each month within the agreed SLA’s
* Responsible for adhering to all payroll legislation and deadlines within the payroll calendar. This includes supporting the accurate production and delivery of the annual P11d returns.
* Supporting the Payroll Team with day-to-day queries and communicating with the wider business and stakeholders to maintain a strong working relationship
* The role will support the delivery and posting of the general ledger each month and will provide support to colleagues in finance where required
* Maintain the highest level of data integrity by handling all colleague and company information with sensitivity and absolute confidentiality
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and represent the HR department in a friendly, positive, and professional manner

You will have:

* Strong payroll processing experience
* Strong payroll technical experience and knowledge
* Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; including Word, and Outlook and a strong knowledge of Excel, (with the ability to perform VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables)
* A good understanding of employment law and Payroll best practise
