We are working with a quickly expanding Payroll Bureau based in Luton, currently seeking a Payroll Manager to join them on an initial 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave.
Due to their continued success and growth, this role has potential to be extended or even become permanent.
As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for a small number of direct reports and will take responsibility for overall management of the team, ensuring accurate payroll delivery for clients.
Other duties include acting as a point of contact for escalated payroll queries and maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and payroll projects.
Additionally, you will manage new client onboarding as well as training and development of staff.
The Payroll Manager will manage and motivate staff within the Payroll team on a daily basis and work with team to identify areas of training and development.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have some people management experience, ideally within a payroll bureau environment.
This role offers extensive flexibility with remote working, with the expectation to travel to the Luton office 1-2 times a month. Working hours are 37.5 a week. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
