We are working with a Local Government organisation, who due to a restructure, are looking to hire an experience Payroll Team Leader to join their team.
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Team Leader will oversee a small payroll team and will work alongside the other Payroll Team Leader.
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Full line management of up to four payroll officers
* Overall responsibility for a high volume monthly payroll, as well as a pensions payroll
* Working on a number of projects, collaborating with other payroll and HR colleagues
* Participating in continuous improvement projects
Experience required:
* Proven experience of managing a team at supervisor level
* High volume payroll experience, ideally from a local government or public sector
This role offers flexibility in terms of remote working, with the expectation to travel to the office for initial training.
