The VIP team support a portfolio of accountancy firms ranging from Sole Practitioners to Top 100 practices by providing a telephone consultancy service on all aspects of VAT.This position has the option of being fully remote or hybrid. Job PurposeTo support our clients, who are firms of accountants ranging from Sole Practitioners to Top 100 practices, by providing a telephone consultancy service on all aspects of VAT. Job OverviewWe're looking for a VAT professional to join our existing team of over 30 advisors and consultants. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in general VAT from working in practice, industry or HMRC. You will hold a recognised professional qualification, or the equivalent gained by experience. You will work within a supportive team environment with the opportunity to generate consultancy and referrals for the business. No overtime! No timesheets! Day-to-Day Responsibilities * Responsible for the provision of high-quality technical telephone VAT advice * Establishing the full facts, researching where appropriate and communicating a full answer, with reference to the appropriate legislation * Maintaining a strong working knowledge in respect of all areas of VAT, including keeping up to date with the appropriate legislation and developments in case law * Generating more in-depth VAT investigation and consultancy referrals * Identifying business development opportunities in order to grow the consultancy client base and provide additional consultancy services * As a VAT professional, you'll require relevant experience in general VAT from working in practice, industry or HMRC and will hold a recognised professional qualification or the equivalent gained by experience. Health Assured supports over 80,000 organisations and 15 million lives across the UK & Ireland.An Intermediary Development Consultant is responsible for growing the intermediary portfolio, developing, and nurturing their accounts to ensure a thorough understanding of products and services, support with education to develop effective communications and identify further revenue opportunities at all times. Duties involve day-to-day management of the intermediary portfolio, liaising with consultants to provide excellent service levels via telephone and email communication, maintaining accurate intermediary CRM records and negotiating new business pricing and commission levels Key Responsibilities Include: * Managing all aspects of new business within the channel assigned to you, including expansion, pricing discussion and all sales needs, negotiating these cases through outbound and inbound contact. * Delivering the highest level of broker care to include taking ownership of day-to-day sales and service queries, liaising with the appropriate areas of the business to resolve and, if appropriate, communicate back to third parties. * Handle inbound telephone sales calls and emails from brokers, converting these opportunities into new sales revenue therefore ensuring that you reach your agreed channel and individual sales targets. * Make outbound calls to brokers generating sales opportunities to further increase the potential of conversion and sales. * Proactive approach to sales via the phone and email, approximately 50-60 actions per day. * Working towards telephony activity of 45 outbound calls and 90 minutes talk time per day. As well as, arranging the delivery of training to maintain L&D within the department for their HR Advisors. Responsibilities within the HR Internship: * To create induction training plans for new starters joining the department. * Logging of all training taken place and record data accordingly. * To create monthly reports on the induction training programme. * To upload content onto the Company's University portal for all HR Advisors to access for their self-learning. * To create training content and upload it to the company's Academy with accuracy, as well as tracking usage. * To support the teams within the department with organising client events and support the coordination of the events. * To create training plans for any relevant development programmes such as a Graduate Programme. * To organise any in house monthly or ad hoc training for HR Advisors. * To organise and take minutes for monthly Senior Manager meetings. * To organise live training for new starters. * To ensure the organisation of new starters travelling to Manchester from Glasgow as part of their induction. * To organise training for other departments where relevant. * To deliver two training sessions to new starters for each monthly intake. * To arrange 1 hour per week for your own learning and self-development (e.g., call listening, research, using the Academy etc.) * To support the Advisory Training Manager and the HR Advice & Consultancy Director in the absence of their PA. * General administrative support for the department. * Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and duties. * Take reception calls if necessary to support the department and when work commitments allow. * To ensure the highest level of customer service is adhered to and client confidentiality is maintained. * To establish and maintain efficient working relationships with colleagues and clients.
