We are currently recruiting for a temporary role with the opportunity to go a permanent position for a large Media company based in West Sussex, the appropriate candidate must be immediately available and ready to start a new role ASAP. Payroll Administrator – £25,000 – £28,000 on a Temporary basis TIL APRIL then will go perm

* Open to Hybrid working but preferably looking for someone to come to the office 2 days a week
* Salary Review after 6 weeks and up the rate if they are good
* ADP iHCM for UK payrolls, overseas these are managed services.
* Approx headcount 400 ( across UK, Poland, Ireland and Hungary)

Typical duties and responsibilities

* Prepare and submit electronic payroll for input and export to Vendors
* Create and submit banking files to the treasury department for net salaries and liabilities on a monthly basis
* Have a knowledge of and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits, and other factors
* Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications
* Maintain and document all payroll records
* Reconcile the general ledger regarding payroll transactions for 4 entities
* Detect and process issues with the payroll e.g. returned salaries, overpayments
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns using Workday Help

Required skills and qualifications

* Several years of experience in payroll
* Strong organizational and mathematical skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters
* Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
* Great attention to detail
* Excellent mathematical skills
* Experience managing payroll for a company with 300+ employees
* Understanding or general ledger accounts
* Knowledge of local and state tax laws
* 2+ years working in payroll, it would be preferred for applicants to have worked in a bureau or in house payroll processing multiple entities.
* Excellent written skills
* Self-motivated
