Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will have responsibility for processing payroll and to support the finance function. The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational skills be proactive in their approach to work, have a high level of attention to detail and experience of working within an accounts department, processing payroll, and using Sage 50 payroll system.
KEY responsibility of the job
* Maintain and deliver multiple payrolls within strict deadlines for 125 staff members of the company
* To utilise SAGE payroll and SAGE Line 50 for input and administration purposes.
* First point of contact for all payroll enquiries, investigation, and reporting.
* Processing new starters and leavers
* Process and maintain accurately the monthly permanent and weekly staff payrolls.
* Finalising Payroll, including submission, payments, pay slips, P45 and submissions to HMRC.
* Pension administration, processing and ensuring compliance.
* Processing absences in line with statutory requirements and company compliance, including Holiday pay calculations
Essential requirements:
* 2 years of previous experience in payroll
* Sage Payroll 50 system
* Excel, word, outlook
* Zero (desired but not essential)
* Be proactive and initiate on the payroll
* Be very organised
