We are pleased to be working with an organisation in the Education sector who are on the lookout for an dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager with excellent people management skills to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the Head of Payroll, the Payroll Manager will manage 7 direct reports whilst remaining hands on with the processing of payroll.

Responsibilities include:

* Manage and develop the payroll team in providing a fully managed payroll service for employees, casual staff and pensioners
* Coaching and supporting the payroll team
* Identifying process improvements
* Responsible for compliance with all statutory requirements of PAYE & pension schemes
* Supporting the Head of Payroll on payroll projects

Experience required:

* Strong people management experience at Payroll Manager level
* Extensive end to end, high volume payroll experience
* People orientated & collaborative
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Education experience and/or experience with Oracle Fusion is a “nice to have”

This role will be office based 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home. On offer is a competitive benefits package including 32 days annual leave + bank hilidays!
