Job Summary
Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a large service provider in Manchester who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join their team. You will be responsible for the payroll on behalf of large high volume clients as part of a team as well as
Key Duties/Tasks:
* Process end-to-end payrolls at high volume with varying frequencies.
* Proactively initiating, consulting and implementing procedures to ensure that payrolls are processed accurately.
* Dealing with complex payroll procedures and issues.
* Handling Pension returns.
* Processing PAYE, NIC.
* Dealing with HMRC and keeping in line with all current legislation.
* Payroll Reconciliation.
* Producing reports for senior management.
* UAT of any system changes and customer change requests.
Desirable skills and attributes:
* Bureau/shared service experience.
* Several years of payroll experience with strong end-to-end payroll experience as a Payroll Specialist/Senior.
* High volume payroll or ability to adapt.
* Must have worked in a high-pressure/fast-paced environment.
* Ability to do manual calculations.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
* Experience of processing payroll accurately and at senior levels with discretion.
