My client, a thriving company based in Central London are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a temporary to permanent basis. The remote is predominately remote based which travel to the office in London Bridge or Heathrow required twice a month. You will join an experienced team responsible for the delivery of a monthly UK payrolls in excess of 5000 employees. The payroll is processed in house from start to finish using ADP Freedom payroll software.In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous experience processing a busy payroll, ideally from start to finish. You should have a good understanding of UK PAYE legislation and a good understanding of how to calculate deductions such overpayments, maternity, sickness payments, Tax and National Insurance. My client as leading business services, currently have an interim need for a Client Business Lead who will be accountable for the full-service delivery with the on-boarding team and payroll clients are provided with an efficient, professional and high-quality service is critical to the success of this role and of the department. You will be responsible for acting as a reviewer and point of escalation for all payroll compliance duties for Client Entities within their span of control. Applying comprehensive procedures and ensuring the team are fully compliant is essential in this role including high levels of motivation and engagement. Accountable for leading the team towards adherence to all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), inclusive of all mandatory local legislation compliance requirements. Duties and responsibilities * Responsible for the onboarding, primarily workload and capacity management, compliance, creating sound client relationships and a strong performing team. * Review client contract and/or statement of works on each new appointment to ensure a thorough understanding of the service to be provided, as a part of the on-boarding. * Proactively, lead and manage new client on-boarding for clients of all sizes and complexities, utilising team members as appropriate. * Build and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to help manage the change process to ensure a smooth transition of services for the client. * Develop and manage where appropriate detailed onboarding plans, contingency plans and status reports to communicate effectively to stakeholders. * Actively participate in meetings/calls with prospective clients for requirements gathering or allocate resources to attend * Escalate any delays to senior stakeholder, with proposed solutions / recovery plans * Manage expectation in consideration of the agreed timeframes * Identify, champion and engineer process improvements and initiatives to maximise the effectiveness of the process and the team * Ensure data provided to and from client is accurate and timely, maintaining communication with clients on a regular basis and there is adherence to agreed processes * Manage parallel payrolls and reporting workloads to ensure the mapping of payroll has been transitioned successfully * Qualified reviewer for all ISAE 3402 approved oversight checklists, internal control points and external paperwork as required * Demonstrates a comprehensive technical and functional understanding of all processes in use (i.e. payrolls, remittances, filings with appropriate tax authorities and payments to employees and benefits (e.g. Health Insurance, Pension, Share Awards etc.) and willingness to maintain and enhance these skills. * Allocate and coordinate the workload, assigning or re-assigning tasks to team and monitor progress of delivery using available means to ensure work is delivered on time * Provide guidance and support to team members (including mentoring, on the job training) with complex payroll/tax related queries and acting as a point of escalation.
